How much of Massachusett's tax revenue goes to public service? Not much.

In case you missed it: the U.S. Census Bureau released its report on the most recent state and local tax collection data and guess what? Massachusetts ranks 36th among 50 states in terms of how much of the revenue collected is used for public service. That means 35 states provide more for its citizens than we do in Massachusetts. For more details, you can check out the Massachusetts Budget and Policy Center.
