Hmm... it looks like neurons from the hippocampus of a mouse that were genetically altered with fluorescent proteins from jellyfish. Call me crazy... :-)

Heh! I moused over the image and saw that it was named "hippocampus.jpg". So I fed that into Google's image search tool (http://images.google.com) and there it was on the bottom of the third page.My wife thought it was a felted wool tapestry; it really is beautiful.
