The New York Times has a feature about homeless people living in the subway tunnels of New York. A subway conversation between a 38 year old artist and a 40 year old homeless man led to a graphic book of life in the underground, with stories of the homeless and survival tips.“Our memories and dreams walk beside us, informing everything we think we see,” Ms. Landowne (artist) and Mr. Horton write in the book. “We are scavengers of stories. We seek hidden messages of hope and find them. We gather evidence of resistance to oppression and despair.”
